Winter Academy Program
Our Junior Winter Academy program is a fun and supportive way for young players to build on their existing skills, grow their confidence, and enjoy the game even more, with coaching suited to their age and ability. From hitting and fielding to pitching and catching, players will develop and refine their skills before putting it all into action in relaxed, friendly scrimmage games.
Winter Academy will start on Saturday 16th May, with the last session being 1st August 2026. Sessions run from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Baseball Field 2 (small diamond) at Chifley Sports Reserve, with intra-squad scrimmage games included during these time slots depending on player numbers. The program is open to players aged 8 to 16 (DOB between 1/9/2009 and 31/8/2018), whether they’re new to baseball, moving through the different levels, or looking to further develop their skills and fitness. It’s a great opportunity for players wanting to build confidence, improve their game, and potentially work towards CSJBA representative level.
